India B. Hart comes from a family of educators, and a houseful of various pets. Her interest in US history goes back to her childhood. At the age of 10, she visited Washington DC, touring the Capitol, and the White House. 

Later, after reading about the Barbara Bush’s Foundation of Family Literacy programs, and the importance of reading, it inspired her to begin writing. 

By combining her love for history and animals, India hopes to do the same by creating fun books for children. Stories that focus on US history, and important values that will help guide children through adolescence.

A personal note from the author:

"This has been a four+ year project.  I never would have completed my books without the support of family and friends.  It is so important to have a "team" behind you.  For that, I am forever grateful to my mother, father, sister, and niece, along with many dear friends.  And finally, with the help and direction from the famous illustrator, R.W.Alley, I now have a finished piece!  Lucky me!
